Team Page Training Video

Training video on how to set up your SportsEngine team page.  The pages will look slightly different than CYLA's actual page. The video was created before the new SportsEngine web version was rolled out.

Please note that CYLA Web Admin will set up seasons and roster players. See below for more info.

Entering Team Practices, Game Schedules and Other Events

Team Managers should enter practices into their team calendar using the tag for their team.

Please note the schedules keep being updated/changed so check back frequently especially as you approach your scheduled games. Please update your team pages with the games schedules, instructions on how to add a game are on the right hand side of page, note: games needed to be added differently vs. a practice.

Please make sure you identify your team name for all your games and practices, ie. U10 Red

Team Managers should track and modify the game schedule for any game changes.  Also, Team Managers should record game scores on their team game schedule.

Once game schedules have been received by YLM and MSSLAX, please update your team page.  CYLA will also roster players to each team.  Please do not add or delete players from your team.

Please note that modifying a game and modifying other events, like practices are different processes.

Game Schedule Updates Are the Team Manager's Responsibility!

 

As team manager, it is your responsibility to regularly monitor your league's website (YLM, MSSLAX or Homegrown) and identify any changes in your team's games schedule. If you identify a change, please make the change on your team page.

To do this, go to your team page, enter "edit" mode and click on "Game Schedule". Then click on the time of the game you wish to change. This will bring up the specific game. The Click on "Edit Game Details", make the necessary changes and click "Save" at the bottom of the page.

If your team's families are synched to the team calendar, the updates will automatically update their personal calendars. You may want to also circulate an email notifying parents of the change.

Entering Game Scores on the YLM Website

Entering Game Results:

This section will allow you to enter or change a score as well as any other information about a game. 

  • First make sure you are signed in as manager/admin.
  • Select "Leagues" from the menu tabs from the at the top of the page (you may have to select season, league and team at the top of the page)
  • Select "Results" from the menu pages at the left.
  • On the team results page, find the game you wish to edit and click on the "Edit" icon to the right of the game.
  • Enter the score. 
  • Click submit to confirm changes.
